Terms and Conditions of Sustainable Home Rating and Incentive Scheme

1-Availability of Rebates
+Only one rebate will be available per home, and only one per resident.
+Eligible property owners will receive their payment within 30 days of Council receiving their completed application form, subject to verification of your application details.
+Funding for the scheme is capped.
+Applicants are advised to consider the Scheme as a guide to best practice sustainable design, and payment of a rebate as a possible, but not certain, outcome.
+The City of Mitcham reserves the right to suspend the scheme if subscription exceeds available funding
2-Assessment Process
+ The application form must be completed in full and approved by the City of Mitcham before a cheque is issued.
+Applicants must meet all relevant Council planning and building requirements, however assessment of applicants under the Sustainable Home Rating & Incentive Scheme is not part of Council’s formal planning and building approval process.

3-Inspections
+Council reserves the right to inspect the home as part of the assessment process.
4-Promotion
+Council reserves the right to promote houses in the scheme.
+Signage will be available to properties eligible for the rebate.
5-Liability
+The applicant acknowledges that the City of Mitcham accepts no liability in respect of any claim, cause of action or loss or damage arising out of, or in relation to, any device purchased or service procured under this scheme.
